Music festivals

De Kop van Schouwen (head of the island of Schouwen) has two major music festivals: Concert at Sea and Beach Boom. Two completely different festivals with one binding factor: The beautiful beach along the Brouwersdam, the sea & sunset.

Concert at Sea, the exhilarating initiative of the Zeeuwse band BLØF, which starts on Friday afternoon and ends on Saturday night. Every year ten thousand of enthusiastic fans enjoy the program of music, weather and setting.

Nowadays camping and holiday parks offer a special multi-day package deal with free access to the shuttle buses and possibly even in combination with concert tickets.

Dance Festival Beachboom draws in thousands of music lovers every year. Even the most spoilt dance festival enthusiast has to acknowledge that something special is going on at the Brouwersdam. With a selection of (up-coming) DJs’, acts, theatrical surprises, atmosphere and vibes, you just can’t ignore Beachboom anymore. The minimum age is 21 and there is a dress code, based on an annually changing theme.

Festival aan Zee is something completely different, but a fabulous annual festival, held in Renesse at the beginning of September. You can enjoy the performances of different music bands and show corps. An average of 15 bands and 400 musicians will perform by taking turns, at the Watermeter and at the Evenemententerein. Don’t be surprised if you encounter a music band on the beach. On Sunday they will all play the final music track together.

In Zierikzee you’ll find the long-standing pop venue Brogum. Upcoming local talent and renowned (international) artists will perform here. The annual highlight is the Anywave festival, which is an engaging combination of local and international bands. The website lists all information and current programme on Anywave
