To keep beach passages, recreation businesses and the centre of Renesse accessible, Renesse has a Transferium. You can park for free on this large terrain with 900 parking places. The centre is about 500 metres away.
From half May to the end of September, you can take the bus or sometimes an open-deck bus, horse-drawn carriage or electric bus for free to get to the different dune passages. These buses also stop at several camping and holiday parks.
The Strand Express buses will take disabled people to the beach in return for a small fee. You’ll have to book a ride on the Strand Express in advance, by phoning the Taxicentrale Renesse (TCR), which provides the transport from the Transferium, on: 0111 – 463100
There is also a regular bus service, which goes to different destinations from the bus station at the Transferium.
You will find the public toilets at the Transferium building and also the office of the VVV Tourist information centre of Schouwen-Duiveland. You can also rent bikes and handcarts for children here.
If you would like something really special, call New York Taxi, which is located in Renesse. This company has the original Yellow Cabs and stretched limos imported straight out of New York City. NYT has fixed prices all year round: 0111-464646
You can also take a slow train, which runs on a Wednesday in July and August. This slow train has a 30 minutes’ tour and leaves from the Watermeter in the centre of the village of Renesse.
