From Goes, the Goes-Borsele Steam Tram Foundation operates with an original slow train, a former and again put into use ‘beet line’, built at the time for the transport of sugar beet.
The route goes from Goes to Hoedekenskerke.
At this end point there are a number of attractions, such as a mini railway, a maze and a watchtower and a beautiful view of the Westerschelde.
There is also a stop at Kwadendamme, where on some days a covered wagon is ready to take the visitor to the Schaapskooi. Goes is on the A58 Flushing-Bergen op Zoom and on the road to the Zeeland bridge to Schouwen-Duiveland.
You will also find picturesque villages throughout Zeeland such as Yerseke, famous for its mussel fishing.
Via the recently completed Westerscheldetunnel you enter the southernmost part of Zeeland, Zeeland Flanders.
This part borders on Belgium and until recently was only accessible by ferry and via Belgium.
The best known places are Cadzand, Axel, Terneuzen and Breskens.
